SinC Upper Hudson Chapter Write-in: Virtual on Zoom
In the tradition of SinC National Write-ins, the Mavens are offering a virtual Write-In.
Research shows that regular free writing or timed writing sessions increase the quality and quantity of your writing. This practice is a tested technique to push past the internal editor and critic and to learn to trust your own mind and talent, often delving into the unconscious and creative.
Led by Ellen Higgins, author and writing instructor, English language and literature scholar — I provide optional prompts, but participants are welcome to bring a project they want to develop, edit, or revise during this time instead.
The discoveries in these exercises are always amazing, and some people have been inspired to take their work further, developing short stories or nonfiction vignettes, even ideas for larger works.
