Christmas with Donna Andrews

December 13 @ 11:15 am - 12:15 pm

When it comes to writing Christmas-themed mysteries, best-selling and award-winning author Donna Andrews is a champ. She’s also a genius at funny and punny titles, from Six Geese A-Slaying to How the Finch Stole Christmas to Rockin’ Around the Chickadee (and many more.) Humor is a trademark of her Meg Langslow series, and her holiday mysteries include quirky family relationships along with seasonal cheer and, of course, mishaps involving murder and birds.

Join us as Donna shares how she brings so much comedy and holiday magic to her stories while still crafting an intriguing mystery.

Donna Andrews is the Agatha-, Anthony-, and Lefty-award winning author of the Meg Langslow series from Minotaur. Between a Flock And a Hard Place (August 2024) and Rockin’ Around the Chickadee (October 2024) are the 35th and 36th books in her NYT-bestselling series, to be followed in 2025 by For Duck’s Sake and Five Golden Wings. She is the co-editor, with Greg Herren and Art Taylor, of the Anthony-nominated School of Hard Knox anthology from Crippen & Landru, in addition to twelve anthologies with co-editors Barb Goffman and Marcia Talley. She’s a founding member of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of Mystery Writers of America, and a longtime member of Sisters in Crime. When not writing . . . who are we kidding? She’s always writing something.
