Laurie Loewenstein will present a workshop on Research for Mystery Writers. Topics will include finding accurate information both on and offline on settings, dress, social norms, and mystery-specific research.
Laurie is on the fiction faculty of the Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., of which she is a 2007 graduate. At Wilkes, she also teaches a module, Research for Writers, twice a year. She studied history at Colgate and Syracuse Universities.

Sisters in Crime (SinC), Upper Hudson Chapter (Mavens of Mayhem) is seeking new “Sisters and Misters” to help our chapter grow. We’re seeking committee members for monthly programming and the Murderous March Writers & Readers Confab. We also seek a treasurer, which includes a surprisingly low time-commitment despite its importance, and a social media/web maven.
