The Cohoes Public Library invites you to a presentation by popular mystery author, M.K. Graff, at 6 pm on June 11 at the library. Mrs. Graff will speak about her newest book, “The Scarlet Wench,” third and most recent book in the Nora Tierney adventures.
M. K. Graff has published poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. A retired nurse, Graff’s background includes working on scripts for television and motion pictures and as an on set consultant for medical scenes. She has conducted interviews and has written feature articles for Mystery Review magazine before studying literature at Oxford University, which inspired the setting for “The Blue Virgin,” winner of first prize in the Mystery and Mayhem Award for British Cozy in the Chanticleer Blue Ribbon Writing Competitions. A love of the beautiful Lake District of England inspired the backdrop for M.K.’s novel, “The Green Remains.” Her newest book, “The Scarlet Wench,” is a continuation of Nora Tierney’s adventures. Ms. Graff has taught creative writing and memoir writing and leads the North Carolina Writers Read workshop for adults and young authors. A member of Sisters in Crime, Graff s creative nonfiction was most recently published in Southern Women’s Review. M.K. Graff’s blog can be found here.
