Writing with Your Hands Dirty

February 21 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Joshilyn Jackson will discuss her new book MISSING SISTER and how it ratified her belief in the value of hands-on research, community building, and networking as part of the writing process. She’ll discuss how creating opportunities for lived experience can enrich your writing and go over how to solicit interviews and cover techniques for getting what you need out of them, then talk about current state of publishing.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joshilyn Jackson writes both page-turning suspense and Southern book club novels that revolve around timely women’s issues, raising questions about justice, motherhood, career, class, and the thorny mechanics of redemption. Her critically acclaimed work has been translated into more than a dozen languages, and Jackson is also an award-winning audiobook narrator. She lives in a gently haunted 150-year-old Victorian Rowhouse in upstate New York with her family. Her latest domestic thriller, MISSING SISTER, pubs March 3.
